Well I got so much great info from my last inquiry I thought i would ask some more… Maybe this needs to be split up up into mutliple posts, but i’ll let the mods decide!
Here we go…
What is the logo/marking on my upper? can someone point me in the right direction?
What do these letters mean? The first one is from my Bushy, and the other one i got from a friend:
Bushy - “CM”
Other - “MPC”
Bolt carriers, What is my next course of action? I read the Knowledge base threads on carrier staking, and well…
Bushy on bottom
Bushy on left
Do i need to send these to someone, or should i just call my local gun store, and have them properly staked?
I obviously have little experience in this matter, and would like to have someone trustworthy do the work.
There is a sticky on identifying forge marks check it out its pretty interesting and will tell you what you have. The BCG’s need to be staked better. Dont take it into any gun shop as they probably have no idea what staking is. I think there is probably someone on here tht is local and can do it for you . If not send it to me and I will fix it for you.
Shihan - Thanks for the info on the Forge marks…i found the one for my bushy BCG, turns out it Colt…as for the “MPC” still NOGO, (although it looks hand made, NOT stamped) and the forge mark on the upper i didn’t find either. Thanks for the offer to handle my BCG’s, i’ll PM you and we can talk there…
If anybody else has anymore info or knows where i can go to get some, please let me know!
EDIT Is my upper the “Cerro Forge” even though it has 3 dots inside the keyhole?
