MOLLE attachment piece for normal belt

I am attending a pistol class and wanted to use some of my pistol mag pouches I have that are MOLLE attached to my BFG padded belt on my normal belt instead. Since I am not using a rifle and I don’t have any “standard” pistol pouches and don’t really want to buy some I wanted to use these mag pouches (TT single and double) on my standard Liger belt I wear. To that end I want to buy some sort of MOLLE pad that I can attach to my belt and has MOLLE loops on the outside to attach my TT mag pouches to. Probably a double and a single. Does that make sense?

Any suggestions?

i was just about to post this same question. i have a maxpedition rolly polly that has only molle attachment points. i want some loops or something so i can attach this to my instructors belt. not sure if these are going to work but i’m considering ordering some. http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=15&idproduct=351

It might depend on the belt width and design of the pouch, but it’s possible to weave MOLLE straps back into themselves in a way that sort of forms a belt loop. If the TT pouches use the malice clips, it still might work. If the loop formed is too big, some duct tape or maybe a zip tie could be used to cinch it down at the size required (and yet be removable). If that description doesn’t make sense I can try to rig it up and take a pic.

Just trying to think of a way to use your pouches without needing to buy some extra piece to adapt them.

The BFG one on that page is what I have with the mag pouches on it now. I am not wanting to use it for this class but still want to use the pouches.

I can jury rig something as suggested in another reply but if there was a simple thing that slipped on my belt that would work I would do that

As has already been mention, you should be able to route your MALICE clips so that they create a pseudo belt loop for you. I run a Tac Tailor double mag pouch on my duty belt using this method and have had no issues with it whatsoever.
