are going to dominate the saints come Sunday! that is all. ![]()
Geaux Saints Geaux!!! Hoo Dat…![]()
I usually vote for the guys that beat my team but that running up of the score last week left a bad taste in my mouth…plus, I’ve always had a soft spot for the saints.
hurricane favre is coming!
The saints O-line will take care of Jared Allen and the bunch, leaving Drew Brees to do what he does best, especially in the dome.
Oh and Who Dat? ![]()
Well I’m a Seahawks fan, don’t even go there, but I honestly think whoever takes this games will become the next superbowl champs. I’ll be watching this Sunday no doubt.
somebody please give us poor old saints fans a break, we have certainly waited long enough. [sometimes with bags on our head, the 'aints]. actually, if the same team shows up saturday, that did last week, they will win it all. now, we all at home wonder, which team will show up.—WHO DAT???WHO DAT??? WHO DAT GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS???
I’m a Packers fan and I still love Favre but there is no way I can pull for the Viqueens so GO SAINTS.
I think it boils down to how the first 7-8 minutes of the game goes. If the Viqueens D-line gets decent pressure on Brees and Minn gets some points up early so they can pound the ball with Adrian Peterson then they have a shot. However, if the Saints go up a couple of scores early and Minnesota has to abandon the run then its over.
Please forgive my ignorance on this subject.
What’s the deal with the “who dat”. I get the time and place they say it, but it appears to be a decades late remix of the Bungals’ “WHO DEY” cheer from the 90’s. I also don’t get the baseball bat that Reggie Bush is always carrying that has the other team and the “who dat” slogan on it. I think it’s pretty weird. I much prefer the Viking guy on his Harley. ![]()
brett farve’s home is about 35 miles south of mine----gonna go down there at 2:00 a.m. and put chains on his gate, and roofing tacks in his driveway—that will fix those vikings!!! [ actually, most around here like the vikings, farve of course]
Like the Cardinal fans that set fire to McNabb’s house in Arizona before they played the Eagles…just don’t leave something at the scene with your address on it:p
I’m not from New Orleans but here’s what wikipedia has to say about it–for what that’s worth

The “Who Dat?” cheer
“Who Dat” became part of a chant for fans cheering on their favorite team. It has been debated exactly where it started, but some claim it began with Southern University fans either in the late 1960s or early 1970s and went “Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Jags” - Southern University being nicknamed the Jaguars.[2] Another claim is that around the same time it began at St. Augustine High School, a historically African-American all boys Catholic high school in New Orleans, and then spread to the New Orleans Public Schools. Another claim is that the cheer originated at Patterson High School in Patterson, Louisiana (home of Saints running back Dalton Hilliard).[1] In the late 70’s fans at Louisiana State University picked up on the cheer. By 1983, the New Orleans Saints organization adopted it during the tenure of coach Bum Phillips, and Aaron Neville (along with local musicians Sal and Steve Monistere and Carlo Nuccio) recorded a version of “When the Saints Go Marching In” that incorporated the chant (performed by a group of Saints players) that became a major local hit, due in part to the support of sportscaster Ron Swoboda.[1]
In 1981, the Cincinnati Bengals fans and players had started with their similar “Who Dey” cheer.[3] It was also adopted by wrestling fans of the Junkyard Dog, who wrestled locally in the Mid South Wrestling area in the early to mid 1980s
i heard the weather in new orleans is going to have a cold brees with pouring purple rain… ![]()
Vikings, Saints, it doesn’t matter. The Colts are going to have another ring come Feb.
…have the jets ever beat’n them??![]()
Depends on who you mean by “them”
Sure they beat our second string. But tomorrow is a whole different game.
your prediction did come true, minn. did dominate the game all right. however----- all the buzz here is how tough brett was/is, he is of course extremely popular here. the saints fooled me i must admit, i thought minn. was gonna win. all our hats are off to the vikings, they played like true champions. now— allow me to suggest the saints will hand peyton his ass too. wonder where archie will fit into this, his old team [and hometown] or peyton.
i like favre a lot, but that last play of his was so stupid. all he had to do was run 5 yards and would have been in more than enough fieldgoal range. but no, he throws it to nobody when he was under no pressure. the vikes deserved to lose after all the turnovers as well.
all he had to do was run 5 yards
After the beating he took he couldnt run 5 yards. Seriously he needs to retire before he ends up in a wheelchair.
Now you all know how us Packers fans have felt these past few years. GREAT QB all year round, but every so often, usually during the important games, he throws a “WTF” pass at the worst time. A.P. wasn’t at his best either.
Anyone want to start a poll on where Favre will end up next season?
I bet favre is a wee bit tender this a.m.!!! Sorry he flubbed that pass but I had to grin and remembered that classless td pass he made when running up the score on the boys.
What a friggin great ball game…pure greatness from two really good teams.
Honestly, I think we got the making of a really good sb and was the match-up I was looking for.
