ML3 or Eo 512 on my rifle

I have an RRA CAR A4 with Dominator 2 Rear sight setup.

The Eo 512 drops right on and sets up real nice with co witness in the lower 3rd. I like the reticle and the setup either co witness or looking straight thru the EO.

What’s involved to setup an Aimpoint ML3 properly on this rifle and can I get it to setup to co witness like the EO?

I can’t see one on my rifle since there are no local stocking dealers, is it as easy to acquire targets with the ML3 as it is with the EO.

I’m aware that the Aimpoint has a much better rep around here and is probably more reliable.

I’m trying to determine the cost difference to get one properly setup on my rifle.

I am not too familiar with the Dominator 2 mount/sight height. I would think a LaRue RASII mount might work or maybe the new Aimpoint QRP2 mount for CompM2/M3 sights.

I’ve got a 512 and an ML3/2moa I’ve had on both my Colt 6920 and my 10.5 LMT. I don’t have a folding front site on either but I prefer the irons in the lower 1/3. My favorite though is the ML3 on the Larue cantilever mount. The Eotech is quicker to spot on target for 25 yards and less imo, mostly due to the reticle ring I feel, but the ML3 just sights better for me with anything farther. I guess it might be the lack of the ring I am liking better and the simplicity of just one knob to mess with instead of two buttons.

I would dump the Dominator and buy a stand alone rear BUIS and a ML3 or T1.

i prefer the eotech. i dont like the tunnel you look through with the aimpoint, i feel like the eotech gives me a more unobstructed FOV and is quicker on target. ymmv
