As the title says, How short can i cut down a middie barrel and have it still function reliably? i want to go down to 13.7.
Noveske has a barrel called the Infidel, which is 13.7" mid length SS. The only complaint I’ve ever heard wasn’t about the barrel or the cycling, it was that the kx3 on the end of the barrel was damned heavy.
can you confirm that it’s a middie? i was under the impression that it was a carbine length gas system.
edit: nm, i found the VIS upper on Noveske’s website that says it’s a middie. he doesn’t list the barrel or barrel group anymore.
I’ve got a friend who has run them down to 12.5 inches.

Wouldn’t that negate the advantages of a Mid-Length 16" (more dwell time, softer recoil, increased reliability)?
A 12.5" mid-length is similar to a 10.5" carbine gas system (except you have a barrel that is 2" longer).
