MIllet DMS-1..good idea for a SBR w/ collapsible stock?

I know there is a DMS-1 super thread with one million posts. I don’ think it covers this question though. I just built a 12.5" SBR. Like er’ a lot, shoots well. Now, I’m thinking of an optic. What I’m concerned about is having a scope with the proper cheek weld distance. I like the collapsable stock on a SBR, because you can adjust it for CQB, bench, standing, etc. If I get the DMS I’d imagine that collapsible stock would need to become fixed. That is, that I’ll find the best position for proper sight picture and leave it there. Should I just get an aimpoint?

*I know I could get the UBR and have the best of both worlds, but I just don’t have the $ for the DMS, a great mount, and $250 for a new UBR.
