A charity event I had done a while back was for Wounded Warrior Project. I was frankly not very impressed with them at that time (long story, but even then had no intent to use them again) and since then, learning they anti gun, have a poor track record, what are charities that you all recommend?
MY idea: take the proceeds from my new fiction story Vacation Gone South and link up with a good mil charity thats lean and mean and not top heavy.
I’d want to make sure they were ok with the content of the story of course so it was not an issue for them. They may or may not have issues with the content and nature of the story, but it seemed like a win win to send what ever the book makes to quality causes.
SEAL Legacy Foundation. Run by good people that were on the Teams. I personally know the head guy and have for decades. Honest, hardworking, good person. When I asked several former SEAL’s they spoke highly of the Foundation.

Mike is a good friend and a great guy. I adopted a DOD SF dog and saved him. There are pics of my wife and “Spartan” on the Instagram and Facebook page.
This is a good question Will and I have concerns about the charities that constantly hit me up for donations.
I managed to separate from military service with all my arms, legs and eyes, and I want to make certain that donations made to organizations who support Veterans with disabilities make maximum use of the money we donate to them.
Given the wide variety of scandals with charitable organizations, and the fact that not all the money ever goes to the needy, I give directly to individual military families.
