Midwest Industries Scar Socom Handguard

The Midwest Industries FN Scar Socom handguard for your 16S or 17S.
This new handguard adds only 4 oz to the overall weight of the gun.
It adds a QD attachment point for two point sling use and has the M-LOK interface system to allow for quick attachment of mission specific accessories.

This handguard was designed with input from members of special forces who deployed with suppressed Scar 17’s.

Retail on this handguard is $184.50. We expect them to sell for around $170.00

This pictured is a pre-production part. Actual Parts will be darker in FDE coloring or available in black.

Why separate plane for the 12:00 rail?

(I realize this is irrelevant for BUIS since there is already a front sight)

Some guys wanted to run the surefire light , Dbal, ahead of the front sight and at a height they would not see it.

Does it have captive barrel screws or not? If not, not really a big deal since I don’t think anyone swaps barrels in the field.

Also, is the bottom rail M-Lock too? It looks like it.

The barrel is held in the same way as it is from the factory.
Yes, this is M-LOK on the bottom as well.

Nice. Any idea of a release date?

These are running as this is released. I would say 3-4 weeks max.
Thanks

That is good to know. I have held off on an extended handguard since I wanted something streamlined that specifically would work in the same configuration you have above. It looks like it was good to hold off until now.

The X model (extended) of this hand guard will run right after this version .

Looks good gents

Planning on a keymod version of this rail?
