Has anyone tried these out yet? Another midsouth exclusive apparently.
Worth a try. 500 extra bullets is never a bad thing. I might put an order in.
That was my thinking also.
I love that description. Great for varmints under 50 pounds but good for personal defense. lol
In all seriousness, I like 62gr soft points. Have them in my home defense rifle. I’ll give these a try as well. Thanks
Thanks, hopefully these shoot close to the Midsouth/Hornady blem 62 gr HPBT I should have bought 10k of…
Agreed!
Heck I brought 7500 of the 62 Bthp’s and should have doubled that order! Can only hope after an eon or so they will become readily available once again.
Thanks for the link. Bought 4k of them.
Count me among those that wish they had bought double my order of 6k midsouth/hornady blem 62 HPBTs
I hope these turn out solid results. The 62gr BTHPs are great. I am sitting on a bit of those still as well.
Anyone get to try these out yet? I, unfortunately, have not got to load any yet.
These seem to be back in stock again, at $64 per 500.
Well, heck….looks like I will be buying some 62 gr SPBTs. Thanks for the link!
I posted in the wrong thread. I was referring to the BTHP, but BTSPs are also in stock, but only in a quantity of 5,000.
Rocky Mountain reloading has 69 grain BTHP ( SMK KNOCK OFF) for .14 a round. I bought 6k of them. We have shot a few hundred with great results. Worth a look.
See Marks thread below 69 OTM for more info.

PB, Do you like them better than the 62gr BTHP Hornady?
They are definitely an upgrade. These bullets have shot better than any 69 grain bullet I can remember that we have loaded. 900/1000 yard was much much less consistent with our 62’s.

Thanks cor the feedback.
The Hornady 62 is a really good bullet, but these shoot better for us on paper, and at distance they have pretty consistent POI. When we miss on wind, the elevation is still right there shot after shot.
Been wondering about the RMR 69gr, good to hear. Bought some PPU 69gr. Very underwhelming.
PPU has always been reliable, but far from “match” ammo. I have a bunch of 75 gr (I think) PPU bullets hand loaded for 3rd line stash ammo somewhere in my cans. Bullets work better than FMJ, but are not as good as real OTM.
