Midlength cut down to 14.5 Gas ?

If I have my midlength barrel cut down to 14.5 from 16" do I need to have the gas port opened up as well?
If so, by how much?

I’ve got 2 now just like that and they both run well. No problems so far. I didn’t do anything to the gasport except finish the hole in the Sabre barrel. The Armalite barrel worked fine as is. I know the shorter barrel cuts down on dwell time a bit, mayb e, but it hasn’t affected the 2 I’ve built and been playing with.
