Mid-length 16" Barrel Source

I do not own a mid-length AR carbine and I want to build one. I am opposed to buying a complete rifle because I always change out so much of it I prefer to build it up myself.

I was wondering what the best barrel source is? I want it to be chrome lined (not stainless), high quality steel (so not a Wilson/RRA) and 1/7 twist, preferably with a F marked FSB. It appears Denny’s Operator Barrel fits the bill but it’s out of stock. I’m finding mostly 1/9 twists, Sabre Defence seems pricey and CMMG is a brand I already own a barrel from so I’d like to try something different. Should I just wait for the Operators to get back in stock or is there another source I don’t know of?

Thanks!

Thanks, I did do a search but didn’t see that thread. So what’s the deal with the ADS company? Is it the same as American Defense who’s making the optic mounts? Any link or info much appreciated!

I don’t think so.

Cool, thanks for the links, now I am putting 2 and 2 together. Have to wait and see when the barrels hit the market.

Last time I checked, Talon Arms had Sabre Defense mid-length 16" barrels in stock. That’s what I would use.

I went ahead and back ordered Denny’s Operator Barrel. It should be in stock in 4 weeks.
