How in the hell does this kind of thing keep happening and with no response?
UCSON, Ariz. (CBS Las Vegas) — Border Patrol agents in Arizona were reportedly fired upon by a Mexican military helicopter that traveled across the border.
KVOA-TV reports that Mexican authorities were conducting a drug interdiction operation when the incident happened early Thursday morning on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation. The Mexican chopper fired at the agents and then flew back into Mexico.
Art del Cueto, Border Patrol Tucson Sector union president, tells KVOA that they called and apologized for the incident.
“The incident occurred after midnight and before 6 a.m. Helicopter flew into the U.S. and fired on two U.S. Border Patrol agents,” del Cueto said in a statement to KVOA. “The incident occurred west of the San Miguel Gate on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation. The agents were unharmed. The helicopter went back into Mexico. Mexico then contacted U.S. authorities and apologized for the incident.”
Andy Adame, Border Patrol spokesperson, said that Mexican authorities fired two shots at the border agents.
“Two shots were fired from the helicopter but no injuries or damage to U.S. property were reported,” Adame told KVOA.
I think out Border Patrol agents should go into the fields with shoulder fired missiles and return the favor. Crack that pinata and see how many Mexicans fall out.
I understand friendly fire incidents happen, but this is Mexico violating US sovereignty, and this time its not a bunch of guys with weed on their back swimming across the Rio Grand. WTF. “We fired on your agents, sorry” Too bad out government is spineless and will not even react to this.
Can you imagine the shitsorm any agent would face if he downed a Mexican chopper, even if is over the USA. Osama and Homer would personally deliver him/her to face murder charges in Mexico. We can’t have BP protecting the USA. we are just a bunch of ignorant racist bastards don’t you know?
EXACTLY my first thought on this and other southern border stories lately. The MRAPs are actually justifiable on our side of the Mexican border. They are total wastes of money in the podunk towns that are getting them.
While we’re at it, I’d also second the call for Stinger missiles for CBP, as long as they’re kept within a short distance of the southern border. (We don’t need them at the northern border, FYI.)
I know I’m preaching to the choir but there is no way to interpret the current flustercluck as anything but deliberate ceding of US sovereignty by the Obama regime.
so…we had dozens of “militia” show up to fend off our own gov over some animals and now that there is a legit issue that will get people trigger time, I have yet to hear about anyone go there.
No, it’s not… and used in Maybury to deliver search warrants (and pizza) and provide taxi service for heavily kitted out operator-as-**** guys who are just going to let the negotiator do all the work anyway, they are a waste of tax dollars and time. Used in the desert where the criminals are operating in well organized gangs with true military weaponry (not US gun show sale table specials) and sometimes the gangs are the Mexican military and vice versa, they are back in their element and justifiable.

On of the semesters of my 3rd year of Architecture school we were asked to design a border crossing station between US and Mexico. The first day after we were given the design problem, we would sit down individually with out professor and discuss out ideas for the building, form, function, parti and so on. When Sergio Duran sat down with me, I showed him a picture of the East Germany/West Germany border. Barbed wife, sniper towers, GSDs, armed guards and all. This earned me a trip to the guidance counselor’s office, she was not amused. WTF?
Similar things happened with Bush as president. Unfortunately both parties have an interest in seeing lax border security. Last time “the people” defended the border, they were arrested and a man lost his property and home when the illegals they detained sued them because the incident “scared them.”
You were supposed to string runners ribbon and play the theme from Chariots of Fire. That way when illegals cross the finish line and break the ribbon they can throw their hands in their air and feel a sense of accomplishment and victory which is all that will be necessary to make the valuable and productive individuals.
