So, I bought a Mesa Tactical Winchester 1300 stock adapter and got it installed today at lunch, but I have a question for those of you who have one. The top rail included sits up off the top of the gun. There was a receiver “shoe” included, but it sits in there kinda loose. Did I get the wrong one with the package/do they make more than one that you know of? Does it matter that it’s off the top of the receiver? (I’d think so from a durability point of view)
Take a look.
It sits loose? I would think it needs to be drilled and screwed down. I have the 1300, but not the stock, so I won’t be of much use to you. Happy to hear from a 1300 fan.
Ok, so after a few back and forth emails and a phone conversation, I found out that during their manufacturing process, they inadvertently machined the top of the Win 1300 adapter off by about 1/2 a degree. There’s a fix for it and they are sending out the spacer and a different rail to fix the problem. It should ride right along the top of the receiver and fit snug against the “shoe”.
Pretty nice guy, had to dig stuff out of his old stock as they are probably not going to sell the 1300 adapter any longer. Hopefully this fixes the problem and I’ll get the gun out to dial it in this next week.
