It is an amazing car. From a technical standpoint especially with its turbos mounted between the V of the engine. Yet there is one thing that bothers me. The previous version, the SLS AMG Black was insane. I use the word insane not gratuitously. Mercedes being the strict, technical, straight line, efficient, company you would expect from a German premier auto maker…well take that all that into account. Everything must be perfect and well planned, etc. And THEN add to that German OCD perfection… a massive twist of insane sound, tail sliding massive torque, a huge wing at the back, well the oxymoronic SLS Black with its ying yang personality just made me fall in love with it. Just something about a German (who we think of as strict by the book and efficient in everything he does) and couple that with the ability of the Black to roast tires in only miles…well I love that. The GT-S (which I really like) seems watered down. Less lunacy =s bad. But hopefully AMG will prove me wrong.
