I was at the range today, shooting my Henry lever-action .22. There were two guys to the left of me, mild aquaintences, with M-4 clones blasting away. One had one of those Ruger piston guns and the other a more traditional D.I rifle. They were really doing the “final protective fire” thing. Each of them must have blasted though 200 rounds in seven or eight minutes. When they paused I shouted: “I love the smell of melted handguards in the morning, it smells like, like victory.” We all had a good laugh.
Cool story bro.
