Melbourne protests

The draconian lock down AND mandatory vaccination has fueled widespread distrust and frustration in Australia. The silence in the media is defeaning. Fear of copy cat mobs throwing off the chains of tyranny in other countries? With a country that is essentially disarmed, the mob rules of large united numbers must prevail as the citizens truly have no other discourse to be heard and/or taken seriously. My question, is there similar activity by those in other metropolises? My searches only reveal Melbourne.

Go get em lads!!

Australia doesn’t answer to the Crown.

Regardless of my ignorance of Australian government, my apologies, are the Melbourne protests isolated? Are there other large segments of society willing to reveal their dissatisfaction with Covid-19 people control?

They’re going on in Victoria and Sydney as well. The problem is that the vast majority of Australians in the cities support indefinite lockdowns.

And Europe and the United Kingdom.

Have heard the same, but a tiny percentage of colonists here said screw it and achieved what seemed impossible. Freedom loving Aussies are up against a more extreme imbalance of power, but sometimes the good guys win.

I was pretty sure. Lived there for a year, and love the people. Probably the closest to our way of thinking (broadly speaking) to Americans than any of our other allies.

And they are fiercely independent. Don’t think I ever heard them speak well of “those pommy bastards”.

Police Patrol.

unreal

Can’t imagine why they want to do away with the 2A.

Well, I guess Australia has come full circle. They went from penal colony, to a free country and back to penal colony.

Since when?

At least to some extent still.

https://www.royal.uk/australia

“Australia is a constitutional monarchy with The Queen as Sovereign.”

Wonder how long till they catch the first Molotovs while riding like that?

From the link -
“As a constitutional monarch, The Queen, by convention, is not involved in the day-to-day business of the Australian Government, but she continues to play important ceremonial and symbolic roles.”

So yes, they are part of the commonwealth. But Australia declared their independence in 1931. And England hasn’t had a say in its affairs in any practical way since at least 1975. They don’t ask the Crown’s permission to form a new parliament, or any of the stuff that normally happens in the UK.
