The package came in from Rainier today, and well worth the wait. The product is IMO first rate quality and surprisingly light. Installed an 18" SS beadblasted Bison SPR barrel, Vltor SS lo-pro gb and ITS Superbolt into a LMT SA bolt carrier. It’s mated to a Mega forged lower that I’m switching off my 223 SPR for now. The fit is great, the billet lower will come down the road. I still need a muzzle device, probably a FSC30, and an optic. Leaning toward a 2.5-10. Anyway it’s been a long wait, and now the fun really begins… hope to take some Mouflon real soon.
So how is the barrel secured to the upper ?
Comes with a special barrel nut and wrench, accepts any “conventional” barrel. Installation was a breeze.
