Mechanix Knee Pads...

I found a place where I can get Mechanix knee pads for a very good price and wanted some feedback on them.

Who here uses or has used them and how well have they held up? Pros/Cons? Thanks in advance,

-Jax

I have arcteryx kneepads and I can say what I like about them. They are articulated. They have one elastic strap and one non elastic strap. Makes a huge difference when things start scooting around. these look like they lack that. Might want to try them first.

The Arct’ryx knee pads are OK. I have both the LEAF and the Mountaineering versions, as well as a pair of similar-concept Black Diamonds. These MechanixWear versions look intriguing…

Now if they would just make them in “tactical” colors like they have their gloves.

Yeh I saw that type as well which would stay secure better than the one’s I pictured. Not sure which ones I will get if I place an order. The part #s are the same. If I get them I’ll report back after some use.

Jax, once you get them I look forward to hearing how they are. From the pictures they look like a more compact/lower profile version of the older Hatch or Blackhawk neoprene ones.

Those do look pretty similar. I am going to call my vendor Monday and make sure which one’s they are. The kind with both straps that secure via only velcro or the (hopefully) version that has a buckle on the top strap.
