People were out celebrating Chinese New Year.

I’d venture to guess its either 'gang-related" or a family feud of sorts.
The police presser said the shooter was an Asian guy. And others are saying they suspect it was indeed a domestic husband wife thing.
But but but Asians are perfect people and would never do such things.

“ Witness Mitch Brown told KTLA’s Chip Yost the person inside the van is dead due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities have not yet confirmed the deceased person is related to the Monterey Park shooting.“

I had to sit security on a Judge’s house overnight once because she presided over a divorce case that went bad along the way. They were an Oriental couple and the Father killed the mother in the/their restaurant and disappeared. They finally caught him at an Indian casino I think.
Can happen to any heritage I suppose.

I just watched the Sherriff’s presser. He said the shooter did not have an assault rifle, he said it was an assault handgun with a high capacity mag. He said the shooter left the scene and went to the second location to kill again, he walked in and two citizens took him down and got the weapon from him and then he ran off.
He said when the police approached his van he shot himself and died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
