An Australian community is reeling from the deadliest mass shooting the country has seen in more than 20 years, after seven people, including four children, were discovered dead on a rural property near Margaret River.
The shooting has rattled Australia, where lawmakers passed some of the world’s most restrictive gun-control laws after a 1996 massacre in Tasmania.
“ ‘Shocking’ is about the only word,” resident Felicity Haynes told 9 News Australia. “I just feel sick to the stomach. That couldn’t happen here.”
Was looking at another WaPo article and saw this on the side. Don’t see any mention anywhere else.
That’s impossible. Australia has “some of the world’s most restrictive gun control,” and as we know, that guarantees safety and completely ends all gun crime whatsoever. This must have been something else, like a semiautomatic meteorite bombardment, or a van of peace that came out of nowhere, did its peaceful business, and disappeared without a trace.
(Too soon, heartless? Maybe, I don’t know. Extreme fatigue with all the lies and propaganda.)
In the end, unfortunately, it’s only more proof of what we already know. The left is going to say that this being the first mass shooting in 22 years proves gun bans work. Plus, they’ll say “Imagine if he had an AR-15 and high capacity magazines. The body count would have been tripled!”
The bodies aren’t even cold in U.S. mass shootings before the Democrats start talking. The whole “period of mourning” thing is something that the left orders us to do while they immediately starting pushing for bans. For whatever reason, we obey. **** that. If they get to offer their 2 cents on every gun tragedy before the last shell hits the ground, so do we.
This is about as surprising as a shooting in a gun free zone, or in one of the commie states. The real losers will be the remaining law abiding gun owners in Australia because they’ll be in for even more draconian restrictions.
