If I was taking a little R&R in Miami, stepped out onto my hotel balcony, and saw blackhawks strafing the street out front, I think I’d be a tad freaked out.
The comments in it were heartwarming.
“Just a few helicopters practicing strafing city streets… Nothing to see here folks, keep it moving”
They have shootings EVERY DAY in Miami. Sure the Blackhawks are a new twist, but this is nothing new.
out near the sikorsky plant by the Beeline, Blackhawks are normal. Some of the locals swear by those chem trails, though!
I miss the days when Homestead AFB was running at full steam. When I was a kid in the 70s I don’t think there wasn’t a single day I couldn’t look up in the sky and see a pair of F4s playing etch a sketch in the sky with their vapor trails.

This is a training exercise for potential events on foreign soil and it has been done many, many times before.
I’m all for this type of thing to help train troops before a deployment, but it’s hard to imagine what the heck they are training for. It only fuels distrust for the government.
That said it’s not difficult to notify the public the training event is coming, that would be reasonable. Hell they let me know a road is going be to worked on from X date/time to Y date/time using portable road signs all the time. Not to mention local TV/radio doing a PSA on the topic.
Unless a goal of the exercise is to gather information on the psychological responses of the masses to such activities within the homeland. “Yep as we thought, nobody gives a shit to strafing runs down a major metropolitan thoroughfare.” Miami - check. L.A. - check. Chicago - check.
