Marines say no to the Army’s New Rifle

And plan to keep those 416/m27 5.56.

The Marines have, once again, come out and said they’re sticking with the M27 and are not picking up the Army’s new M7. That isn’t just the Marines refusing to take the Army’s hand-me-downs. They have good reason to stick with the M27 based on their doctrine and unique needs. Things like ammunition, volume of fire, and logistics are all influencing the Marines’ decision to stick with the M27 and 5.56. In this video, we get into why the Marines want to stick with their beloved M27, for now at least.

Plus the M7 is a bloated, over complicated, unreliable heap of trash. Pretty good reasons to avoid it.

I’ve got no idea what either of these things are. Are the chambered in 6.8 sig retard?

The M7 is the SIG 6.8 tard’.

The M27 (IAR) is just some piston driven HK goodness in the M4 pattern with a chrome lined hammer forged 16” 1:7 twist barrel in good old 5.56mm. The USMC spec HK 416.

M27 is supposed to be pretty legit.

The M7 (Sig Sauer MCX-Spear) seems to be a rifle no one wants. One of those behind the door Sig deals.
