Mantis Knives

Hey Guys and Gals, I found a couple of Mantis knives that I really like the looks of at a good price. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them.

I’ve handled these at my uncle’s shop, he ordered them to grind and use as trainers (yes, the price is pretty low for a production framelock karambit!). It’s much cheaper than other folding training knives, which was pretty surprising.

Pros:

When they arrived we found out that the lockup is solid, and the blade is very sharp, and cuts very clean.

Cons:

The thing is pink and black. Bright shiny metallic pink. Not exactly my choice of color for a concealed knife.

The blade isn’t the only sharp thing about this knife. Almost all of the edges and corners of this knife are sharp. This makes the knife a bit of a chore to hold, especially the karambit, when you do extensions and retractions of the knife. I solved this with a some rough and then fine grit sandpaper and a LOT of elbow grease!

How about this Mantis…
