so im guessing the wedding is off, then
Flashlight + target identification = no dead wife.
Simple math.
I guess my mom was right about the dangers of “living in sin.”

Tragic. This is why one should never shoot at an unidentified figure in the dark.
This stupid shit has been discussed several times. Either they all are “moron supremes” or copy cat killers.
- All guns are always loaded.
2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. - Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
No way Jose. I read on other internet forums the only thing a flashlight will get you is dead.
It gives away your position to the zombies in your house. That’s why I sleep in a guille suit. ![]()
A terrible tragedy that could have easily been avoided.
isn’t it ironic how shots in the dark only hit COM when it’s a family member?
Lights offer as many benefits as drawbacks in tactical situations. The main benefit is proper target/threat identification. The drawbacks are giving away one’s position and becoming a bullet magnet. When a flashlight is mounted to the firearm, one gets the problem of shooters treating the gun like a flashlight and cavalierly pointing the muzzle at people and things they may not want to shoot.
A simple verbal challenge/command to the unknown figure probably would have cleared the situation up without use of a light and before the gun was fired but these things have to be trained into people. Individuals tend to get tunnel vision when they hold a gun. They don’t think as clearly. They become like a man holding a hammer, everything suddenly becomes viewed as a nail.
Another thing that would have helped would have been the placement of several indiglo night lights around the home so one can see a little better in the dark.
It’s an unfortunate situation but when a person makes a mistake with a firearm, the result can be tragic.
Sounds like someone really didnt want to get married.
This is why I have night lights at the bottom of the stairs and at the other end of the hallway. That way any target would be identified pretty easily and my position would not be compromised in the process. I do have a flashlight readily available if the night lights do not do their job though.
