Me? I woulda beat the ever living shit out of him. I was sticking up for “the little guy” since middle school, and I still stick up for those being bullied.
Nobody with a shotgun to fire one off and scare the bad guy away…
Truth be told, I’m not at all shocked. You take down Mr. Punchy and find yourself arrested for assault and facing a civil suit potential in the six figure range. Our country has conditioned non-responsive behavior. Either through apathy for the uninformed, or litigation for those in the know.
Several years ago I was behind some dude who assaulted a McD’s worker…the dude was a good 75 pounds heavier and a foot taller. The McD’s worker said he thought the dude was going to kill him. I slammed the big guy up against the wall, he shoved me, I punched him. The cops arrested him, and he did some time for assault/battery and a couple other charges. I will take my chances on being sued by Stupid McStupid. Sticking up for those who can’t/won’t stick up for themselves is a character flaw of mine and I absolutely know one day I could get into serious, serious trouble because of it.
Yeah, why get involved when you’ll be sharing a jail cell with the dude in the end?
Couple that with the fact that everyone there was probably shocked, stunned, OODA loop reset, etc… and didn’t have a clue as to what they should do in that situation.
Check out Drudge. 1 boy suspended for using his FINGER as a gun to play and another suspended for a quarter size keychain pistol. Breeding a nation of pussies.
Dude #1: Old, so maybe he doesn’t want to jump in. Whatever.
Dude #2: Tough enough to wear a beater out in public (suns out, guns out) but not tough enough to jump in. Way to go princess.
Dude #3: Looks like he’s yellling at the POS (ay dawg, ay!) but won’t do anything. Threw enough of those guys out of bars…tough thug wannabies that yap like a damn yorkie. But when it comes time to step up, they’ve got nothing.
These are the same type of people that would watch and do nothing while your wife is raped, abducted, etc. Cowards.
Regardless of the consequences of my actions, someone does that in front of me is going to have one angry dude ****ing them up.
What’s right is what is right regardless of how society has changed and will react. Screw the civil suit and possible jail time that might be coming to me, I’m doing what is right and what SHOULD be done. Period.
I could not live with myself or face my mother/wife/family comfrotably if I was in that situation and didn’t do whatneede to be done.
Irish is dead on the money. Sadly. Our pussified, politically correct, victim mentality don’t create waves “system”/ society has created a bunch of spineless, troglodyte-brained pussies.
People would be less apt to do shit like that if they knew 99% of people out there would beat them silly for doing so…
One of my ex GFs used to work in a convienience store.
She’d get beer bottles thrown at her, assaulted, etc all the time. And she was in not that bad of a neighborhood.
Seldom would another customer come to her aid.
People are pricks.
Me? I would never pass up the opportunity to beat the shit out of a ****face like that. Channel your pent up frustration and hate into something good for society…I was raised that you defend the helpless, that you never pass up an opportunity to give a lesson to a bully, and that violence against bad people is A-OK.
“Violence never solves anything” is bullshit conditioning. Overwhelming violence applied with precision solves LOTS of problems. From tweakers to thugs to thieves to murderers, rapists, and child molesters, violence solves an awful lot of problems.
Say what you will, but for me personally, based on what I saw, my first reaction would be 911 and follow him on foot or vehicle. Impede his travel as much as possible. It seemed like an easy capture with little likelihood of something much worse happening.
Agreed. Though, since this was a corporate retail spot there is a very high probability of there being a high quality video being made of every moment of the situation. Perhaps in some situations taking action is the best thing. BUT, what if you get into a huge fight with El Phuckstick, and in the heat of your altercation you fall over and break the back of that fat kid with a Twinkie in his hand? What if someone else in line gets tangled up in the melee and is severely injured or killed? I can see both sides to this scenario, and neither is good. Tons of variables.
