I seem to recall seeing somewhere a threading tool for MALICE clips. Anyone have an idea where I might find one?
is this what you are looking for?

Magpul makes one. LINK
That looks to be the one. Thanks gents! I’ll ask the folks at Magpul if it’ll work with the plastic MALICE clips in addition to the PALS straps.

as a builder of gear, I have never encountered a situation that required mechanical assistance of threading a MALICE clip through a properly constructed webbing channel.
I have one and it worked great at first then after a few pouches it would not hold onto the tabs so now I just do it by hand…
Thanks for the reply. I’m tearing down and reassembling a bunch of gear and was hoping to find something to save some time.
Are you talking about a MALICE clip (all plastic type clip that is a seperate piece from both items) like THIS?
Or are you talking about the standard PALS/MOLLE attachment system in which the attaching item has a piece (or more) of nylon that is attached to the item and threaded through the host piece?
I ask because I know of the MagPul one for PALS/MOLLE, as per the link above, but do not know of a dedicated MALICE threader.
My threader was for MOLLE gear.
That’s the one. Word from Magpul is that their tool doesn’t work with MALICE clips, only the PALS webbing.
Talked to Tech guys and they said:
“Speedthreader will NOT work with MALICE clips as they are a completely different concept from MOLLE straps”
Sorry.
Urgh, what is a good way to thread MALICE clips through PALS webbing? The part that kills me when I do it is threading both the pouch and the vest/bag. If I just go through one then the other I don’t have much of a problem, but it’s so much less secure.
Patience and elbow grease. You definitely want to thread the clips properly.
