I’d love to see this one stuffed in Bloomberg’s commie face. Predictably, he is pressuring the Dem Representatives in the house to go back on their initial cosponsorship and vote the bill down. With the broad support this bill has I suspect that would cost them their next election.

I can’t wait to move to Alaska with Constitutional carry. I am glad more states are going down this road.

Permitless carry has passed both the senate and house. The added house amendments will require another senate vote. This morning our Gov. Lepage expressed concerns about the amendment requiring a 21yr age limit on carrying w/o a permit and mentioned that he may not sign the bill if the amendment remains when it reaches his desk.
The Maine senate leadership amended the house amendments to allow for permitless carry by those serving our country under the age of 21. My understanding is the age issue, particularly for those serving, was the governor’s major contention with the house amendment, and has now said he will sign the bill with the senate amended wording. It passed concurrence in the house again yesterday by a huge margin and will become law 90 days after the legislature recesses, which means pending Governor Lepage’s signing it will become law in September.
