I recently got a Magpul trigger guard. It came with only the trigger guard and one roll pin. I figured that I should take the parts out of the old one and put them in the new one. You know the really small pin that holds the spring in, I took that out of the old one and it looks like it’s too short for the Magpul trigger guard. My question: Does Magpul trigger guards only come with one pin? Is it supposed to have that really small pin also included?
There is the roll pin and an impossibly small allen head screw that goes in the hole that would usually have the spring loaded mount detent…
Can someone post instructions on how to correctly install the Magpul Enhanced Trigger guard? Thanks.

For reference, many of our installation instructions can be found here: http://magpul.com/tech/tech.html
You can also call 1.877.4MAGPUL from Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Eric will answer all your questions.
So we need to call Eric to find out when the 20 round PMAGS are gonna be available? ![]()
Thanks Nick. I will make the call.
No, but he can certainly tell you if they will be compatible with your lower. ![]()
does the “flip down” magpul trigger guard have a spring loaded detent and allen screw…or is it a roll pin?
i want to buy one of these, just not sure which version i want
I install helicoils and use button head cap screws to install mine. ![]()

Works on standards too.

No more stupid roll/coil pins.
It’s a spring loaded detent and a very small roll pin that holds the spring inplace.
I’m sure that I could call Magpul and they would be very helpful with installation question, and the links posted are very helpful. My question is, has anyone noticed that the small pin (from the standard trigger guard)that holds the spring inplace, seems to be a little too short for the Magpul trigger guard?
Not only does that look nice, it also reduces or eliminates the chances of you breaking off the receiver “ears.”
Nicely done.
Hey COMP, where did you ever find helicoils that small???
Thanks
Dave
Nice job Comp. Are you selling those screws? I would be interested in a few.
+1…
I believe he does, in fact, have a conversion sale thread over at AR15.com for those ![]()
Do you have a Link to where I can find it? ![]()
McMaster-Carr
Is it $30 for a Magpul trigger guard that you’ve already converted, or $30 for the conversion job itself, with me supplying the trigger guard?
$10 to do the conversion on a supplied MagPul. $30 for a converted MagPul I supply.
