Magpul Training Schedule

I just went to the Magpul website and there was no schedule posted. Are you guys going to post a 2010 schedule soon? I’m really interested in attending Carbine 1. I’m trying to get an idea of where they are going to be as well.

May as well, post the 2010 schedule. Not much goes on after the first week of November anyway. The year is just about over.

Interested as well

Hopeing for a Carbine and Handgun in the Mid Alantic !

Guys some classes havent made this list…please See Magpul Dyanmics website for updates

In on the Labor day shoot!

I may be clicking on the wrong links or something, but I can’t seem to find any 2010 schedule on their site (just the 2009). Can you provide a link to the correct schedule? Thanks.

Same here. However, the Phoenix class looks promising;

Link would be appreciated here as well. I was signed up for the class in Oregon till both Jill and I realized that was Carbine 2 and not Carbine 1. I just need anything open on the west coast.

I’m in process of setting up a Carbine 1 class for Los Angeles area (Prado Gun Park) for end of February / beginning of March.

That’d be awesome! I was planning on attending with a buddy of mine who’s in Orange County.

Dude,

Count me in! Looking to do a Carbine 2 course, but ANY Magpul Dynamics course wil do fine.

Mark

im out of state but would like to take a class in California since i have family there and wouldnt mind doing 2 things at once. would i be required to use a CA compliant rifle?

As long as it’s not an SBR/NFA, you can bring a non-CA compliant rifle in for training purposes, same goes for mags as well.

I thought so, but I don’t believe that is the case any more. Under section 12280, the exemption is for competition matches, which these are not.

No, it’s allowed for training and competition. I’m taking Carbine 1 again in San Jose, and I talked to the CA DOJ (Phone: (916) 263-4887). Feel free to call them, I talked to them a month ago.

Either way training classes do count. From what was told by two different California DOJ chiefs is that as long as you have proof you’re taking the class (if stopped by cops or whatnot) then you’re exempt from CA law (you also can’t be in the state longer than 30 days with said rifles). They’re strict about it being for training/competition because they don’t want people just coming in to the state for vacation and bringing non-CA legal guns along.

In fact I even asked if I can bring my SR-15, a gun that’s SPECIFICALLY called out on the state’s ban list. My state’s law trumps CA’s for the purpose of the class. Again feel free to talk to the DOJ, but you’re good to go. Bring in your scary CA-illegal guns, hicap magazines, and whatnot. :stuck_out_tongue:

Fair enough, though I would feel more comfortable having a letter from CA DOJ.
