Anyone out there like me, planning on using or testing out ( when on the market) the MOE rifle length handguard for 3gun shooting? There is another thread asking about the JP, carbon fiber or rail systems for 3gun, just want to see if like minds are on this same path as well. The price is worth it to me and cool hands do shot better. Let me know what you think or I’ll post my findings when I get one.
Price is right however it’s not free floated. Unless on a very tight budget i’d save for a JP/VTAC rifle length tube at the least.

I understand the free float concept, because I have a JP on my 3gun and a carbon fiber that will soon be on a new upper. My JP gets hot in the sun and as the matches go on I end up putting on a glove. Free float do work, however there are people out there who shoot standard rifle length AR’s in 3gun and do guite well. I think testing out the magpul rifle moe would add a whole new dimension to standard AR’s. If you look at a thread in this section on 09-092008 Johnson, he asks a good question that leads us all back to what works best for you. One other thing, I called JP and asked if they would consider making a carbon fiber handguard based on there system to help cut down on the heat problem, in a word the answer was “no”. JP R&D if your following this make improvements in your market base $. But when it all comes down to it I just want another rifle to shoot.
