I have a 5.56 SPRish with a MIL carbine buffer tube, spring, H1 - can I simply pull the existing E-MOD off and put on an AR10 PRS?

The PRS requires a rifle length buffer tube/lower receiver extension.
You will have to remove the current carbine tube to install the PRS.

If you can, get a hold of one before you buy one and make sure you like it. I “knew” I wanted a PRS on my current 18" build. Rifle length VIS3 and 18" Noveske barrel. I held a rifle with a PRS and personally thought it was too much stock. It would be perfect on a longer barrel or on an AR10. This is only my opinion. I went with the UBR instead and have not looked back. The UBR (which will use your current spring and buffer) balanced my weapon very well. You will take your mil buffer off though to use the supplied UBR mounting tube. Check it out and handle both if you can before you spend the cash. Good luck!

I wish I could check on out prior to purchase but the bottom line is I am struggling with inconsistent head position due to my optic’s height over bore (56mm objective) and need some additional comb height.
I have tried to duct tape some closed cell foam on to the e-mod but it just comes off after a couple hours.
It is either a PRS or an A2 with closed cell and duct tape.
