Does anyone know where to find the old style MIADS? The ones with the trigger guard built into one of the front straps? Why did magpul stray from the original?
I got mine from Weapon Outfitters. He still might have some in stock, but you’ll have to contact him.
I dunno why they strayed. The built in front strap, once sanded down a bit, creates a very comfortable place for my index finger to support the gun.
Other trigger guards, including Magpul’s aluminum guards, are sometimes preferred. You can get the integrated trigger guard if you buy Full MIAD kits instead of the Basic one. It’s only about $6-7 more if you can’t find someone who is selling just the front strap.
You can try calling Jen @ Texas Tactical Gear (281-484-0800). They had some old stock not too long ago, they might still have some left. Good luck to you.
