Does anyone else’s Magpul ladder covers say “ergogrip.net” on the bottom? Does Magpul have their ladders made by Ergo? Or did the place I bought the ladders from send me Ergo instead of Magpul?
Sounds suspect to me. The Magpul ladders have a stiff plastic feel where the Surefire and Ergo ladders have a rubbery (sp?) feel.
I have used ladders in quite some time so my info may be a little outdated. I just use the XTM panels.
The ladders that came with my DD Omega say “ergogrip.net” as well.
Because Magpul resells ergo ladder rails.
You can ask Magpul. ergo makes certain pieces for Magpul and in the case of the ladder rails, Magpul just resells the ergo ones.

(when I got my first shipment of Magpul ladder rails, and my first shipment of ergo ladder rails, both ordered at the same SHOT Show like 4 or so years ago, I was surprised that they looked and felt exactly the same. Then I saw under the rail lip on the “Magpul” ones that it said “ergogrips.net” or similar ergogrips logo…)

Huh. I wonder if the XT panels are the same as Ergo, with a different design on the front.

Falcon, makers of the ERGO grip and the ladder rail covers, are also making a new M93B of their own as well. I’m sure Magpul has a working relationship with Falcon, and it’s not like ladder rail covers are complicated. As long as the material is right, why re-invent the wheel, or the ladder rail cover? I have several of the ergogrips.net rail covers working fine for me.

Ergo is going to make an M93B? Cool! I always wanted one, just because.
I love that it was edited thirty two minutes after his initial post. “Nevermind” was too complicated apparently.
I saw a thread on it somewhere. They’re actually pretty close to having it done. Some things have changed. I think they’re using the standard castle nut.
Yep, someone on Calguns confirmed. It’s a good idea to use a standard plate & lock nut, the most tedious part of installing an M93 was having to trial-and-error the number of spacers to stack to get the tube rotation right. I liked my two M93B stocks for the fixed cheekweld and slick gliding adjustment, and they looked very Sci-Fi , but I found the UBR to be a simpler design, and it is (reportedly) tougher.
That said, I’d like to see what Falcon does with the design. I wish I’d gotten to check out with the example they had at SHOT and see what else has changed. I admit that this point, it’d be hard to pry me away from my EMOD stocks.
