Nothing is out of the question.
LOL I had a feeling I wouldn’t get a definite answer, but that’s ok. I can’t help but think the fact that Magpul is getting into the 10/22 business at all is a good sign that magazines are likely coming.
Here is some additional information for the Magpul Hunter X-22 Stock.
I received my FDE X-22 from Magpul today. I am very impressed: Rigid construction, ergonomic, compact, light. I have never liked the psychedelic stocks for custom 10/22s.
Received mine also yesterday and only had time for a quick unboxing. First thought another QUALITY product from MAGPUL. Feel is very nice for an injection molded full length stock as is the fit and refinement. Remember these are my first thoughts, not sure about the grip angle as I have way more time behind McMillan and Manners stock. Additionally the forend seemed a little spindly. Again may just be from where I am coming. Its for sure rigid and well balanced. Let me get the barreled action in and cheek risers on and I will report back. Its growing on me so lets see how it fields.
Found some concerns on rimfire central about the receiver fit. A gap at the rear ![]()
I saw that post as well. Ruger receivers vary in size within their own brand as well as from other manufacturers which is why some manufacturers will bed their actions into their desired stocks. Our stock has enough clearance to allow the vast majority of Ruger and other aftermarket receivers to fit securely without impacting the function of the rifle.
In case anyone was planning on using this stock with a Tactical Solutions X-Ring SB-X barrel STOP! Be advised it will not fit because the forend is too long to accommodate that barrel profile.
Spent a little more time with the stock today. Action fit is tight maybe a better word is snug. Have the gap at the rear as well but dont see it as an issue. Added one of the optional raised cheek pieces. Very easy to install and its a seamless fit. Added the M-Lock QD Sling Swivel and Bi-Pod mount as well. This really is a quality made and designed MAGPUL item. Very impressed with the thought and ingenuity of this stock.

Sir, any word on the timeline for the Stealth Grey X-22 release? Thanks!
Yes please.
Finally! The stealth grey is in stock at DSG Arms and Midway USA.
Any word on making this for the take down model?
OK… now give us something like this:

But:
- Obviously don’t cheese it up with a faux mag.
- MOE-looking, MLOK’d forend in two lengths- one for the carbine and one for SBR’d and threaded Chargers.
- Don’t build up any crap on top of the reciever. Stock sights will be out because of the HG height, but try to make it work with a 10/22 Tactical and NDS sights.
- Comes with an MOE grip, but is replaceable with other AR grips.
- Zhukov-type side folder.
I dare your ass…
