Wow…Just talked with Chris Costa for about 30 minutes. Super cool dude. My folks have 138 acres right smack on the Rappahanock River near Urbanna across from the Northern Neck.
We discussed everything from class size to he and Travis’ teaching styles. He’s got VERY tentative dates that could fill up but may be open if me and my prospective class “pull the trigger” fast enough.
He mentioned 10/10 - 10/11 and 11/7 - 11/8. If these fall through or if I can’t get a full class together, then I might discuss with him pushing the class back to the first of next year.
I promised him that I’d post this and get a “feeler” out there to see who may be interested. If the response is overwhelming then two classes may be in order.
If it happens, I’d only be able to get to it in October…I’ve got the Hackathorn-Vickers Advanced Low Light in November, two big classes in one month isn’t something I can really swing.
It depends on what I have going on for VMI. But if you can firm up a date and I can kiss up to enough officers I would be in. Plus I can get two more guys who would definatley be interested.
I am interested, but I’d be a newbie for this type of course. I’m no newbie for shooting and safety, but I’ve never taken a tactical carbine course. So if it’s appropriate for a new <student> (not new shooter) I’d be there in a heartbeat on either date.
