Has anyone inquired with BATFE on the legality of using a Magpul AFB on an AR pistol? I know that a vertical foregrip would make an AR pistol an NFA AOW and was wondering if someone had inquired with the highest authority and received a response. Thanks.
Don’t ask, please don’t ask!!!

Very ture! I would think its fine, you cant get your hands around it to “grip” it…
It would seemingly be more of an addition of a surface contour, rather than a grip NFA would regulate. What’s the tech definition of grip, for purposes of NFA, say?
I guarantee if you ask you will open a can of worms. It isn’t parallel to the bore (the criteria I have heard before). BUT if you ask them to make a determination it WILL only come back against us.
THE BATFE IS NOT THE GUN OWNERS FRIEND.

For the record, the product in question is named the AFG.
I would not do it on a pistol. I wouldn’t ask if I could do it on a pistol.
Considering the name includes “Forward Grip” I wouldn’t even attempt it.
SBR it, add a stock, add the grip and move on.
