Magpul 870 barrel/extension clamp

I got a 870 police with factory extension , it also came with a magpul barrel extension clamp my question is how to remove it/what tool is needed to remove, I tried Allen keys but it was not a good fit. I need to remove the clamp to remove the extension to get the barrel off to give it a good cleaning. Thanks in advance.

All you need is a 1/8" hex/Allen wrench.

I just received one of these clamps, but it didn’t fit on the particular barrel and mag extension combo I wanted to use.

This clamp will not fit an 870P barrel with Wilson 2+ mag extension.

However, the fit is perfect with an 870P barrel with factory 2+ mag extension.

The OD of the Wilson extension is slightly larger than that of the Remington extension.
