Are there any mag fed pump shotguns? Looking around for a shotgun for three gun and I’m not wanting to develop the skill of finger banging shells home like crazy for some of Zak Smith’s zombie shotgun stages. If it ever came down to a home defense situation, I don’t want to get into using speed loaders either. I like the Siaga 12 shotguns, but I still don’t understand them. Joined the Saiga forum to try to get aquainted with them and I like the idea of a mag fed gun, and I see that there are even version with AR style controls. I don’t mind a pump as a general principle. I want shooting as a hobby, not messing with my Saiga as my hobby.
I could of swore that either Remington or Mossberg at one point made a mag adapter?
One thing about the Saiga (I own one) is that the QC is def not there. Some Saigas will cycle low recoil, others won’t. The mag well tolerances are not the same in every gun either (for example MD Arms who makes 20rd drums) builds the mag catch lip oversized so you can hand fit it to your gun. My 20rd drum fits in my gun great, in my friends saiga it won’t fit. I’ve had numerous fail to feeds and failure to ejects, but for the most part mine will eat almost any kind of ammo. I personally would not bet my life on the Saiga, and I would take my Remington 11-87 or Mossberg 590a1 over the Saiga in a SHTF situation.
But it’s a great range gun and lots of fun, its a big crowd gatherer cause people want to know what the hell is making all that loud noise. I just recently sent the Saiga to Tony @ Tromix for a SBS conversion. Maybe when it gets back I will re-evaluate it’s reliability.
Years ago (before they were acquired by Blackhawk) I know that Knoxx made a product called the Sidewinder that could convert pump guns (I believe they had Remington and Mossberg versions) to use 6 round box mags and/or 10 round drum mags. They were discontinued around 2006.
I know that’s really not much help at all, but maybe if you search around you can find an old one.

There is the Valtro PM5 and I believe Norinco made a box fed shotgun but I could be mistaken with it being semi-auto.
I want to say at one time EAA imported a mag fed shotgun that wasn’t a saiga, but I can’t remember if it was a pump or auto. All I remember was the add being on the back cover of a shotgun news with lots of women in it.

Century imported a Chinese mag-fed semi-auto 12ga called the SAS-12. It was utter crap.
There’s also the Italian Valtro pump, but I don’t know if they’re available in the USA:

Looks like they have a US distributor. Saw one on Gunbroker for $700, wonder what they are new.
Interesting idea, would this be an open gun in 3-gun competitions? Been awhile since I read the rules.
Never heard or seen one of these before. I could be the real odd ball and show up at three gun match with one of these, a Garand rifle and H&K P7 handgun.

Does it have a chromelined bore and chamber? Doesn’t say in the specifications.

CanadaAmmo emailed me back and said that they can sell one to the US if I go thru a ATF form 6. Anyone dealt with a ATF form 6 before?
If it going to be a big deal, I’m getting at least three for spare parts. Also want to get the interchangeable choke model, if there is one for the grizzly. Could a cylinder bore be threaded for chokes?
From what I’ve heard those Grizzly shotguns are made by the same company that makes the Pardner Pump and the Hawk/Norinco 982. Hopefully it’s as good as those are. Doesn’t look too expensive either. 349 CAD is around 329 USD.
