Their stuff is cast. I wouldn’t have expected anything less. As cheap as uppers are just order a good one and move on. The most you are going to get out of them is another piece of shit upper.
I remember seeing some threads awhile back about the lowers kabooming, but I don’t remember if it was wide spread, or what the outcome was. Truthfully I’m more worried about the upper than the lower. One contains an explosion and all…
Uppers and lowers don’t explode! What’s inside them does. Nothing exploded inside you upper and it is cracked. What more do you need to know? Cut your losses and get rid of that stuff.
I think you read into that a bit to literally. I’m well aware they don’t explode, how a firearm functions, and that nothing exploded here.
This thread was in reference to the fact that others prior to myself had experienced cracking or a failure of some type with a Mag Tactical Systems product.
I was curious as to what the outcomes of their situations were, and how dealing with the manufacturer went.
I’m not here to start a “Let’s bash Mag Tactical Systems” thread. Intent here was for constructive input, please take your bashing elsewhere.
Sorry man… It looks like someone pulled the takedown pin and let the barrel side (pivot pin in place) drop open (rotate open) against the lower. As others have already said, time to move on.
I had a very pleasant customer service experience with Mag Tactical. I had one of their older lowers that was duracoated. The paint started to chip off a bit, I sent them a picture and they sent a brand new cerakoted one to me.
I think their lowers are fine but I haven’t had the urge to try anything else that they make.
Ryan, you’ve made a generous offer, and I appreciate that. How might I go about taking you up on that deal?
Id rather try and help out a forum member/small manufacture than deal with Mag Tactical. Sent an email Sunday evening, called Monday, and Today. Voicemails all full…
Send me an E-mail to ryan@2a-arms.com with your address. I will ship you an upper with a return label back to us inside the box, that way you are not out shipping.
Ryan, I appreciate your gratuitous offer. As a manufacture, that’s great CS for a customer, let alone someone who’s not.
I never disclose when dealing with manufactures that I’m a LGS or dealer for their product when it’s involving my personal items. I didn’t disclose that with Mag Tac when attempting to make a warranty claim.
-Nor with you before this point.
Your responsiveness and willingness to aid a problem you didn’t create paints a picture of someone I’d do business with anytime.
I look forward to receiving your product and speaking with you about doing business in the near future.
Wow, that is generous. I really don’t know what to say. I wish 2A made something I needed right now so I could justify buying something from them, lol.
