I stopped by Tandy Leather on Friday and picked up the stuff to make an IWB holster for my Kahr E9.
This is my first attempt at making a holster and I can’t believe I got it right the first time. It took at least 6 hours of labor to make but it was worth it.
Here is a link to a quick web page I made to show the progress: LINK
Here is the list of items I used. I had to purchase items with an asterisk. Leather was $6.00, the rest was $30.
8.5 x 11” paper and pencil for drawing the pattern
Scissors - the heavy duty craft kind.
Sharp razor knife
Enough leather for the holster*
Leather glue (I used gorilla glue, not necessary but makes sewing easier)
Overstitcher*
Waxed white thread*
Stitching needles*
1/16” drill bit and drill to make the holes for sewing.
Snaps*
Snap tools*
Small clamps to hold leather in place while glue is drying. Another idea I read about was to use those small black binder clips from an office supply store.
Neatsfoot oil
Leather punch for making holes for the snaps - You could use a drill bit for this also.
