That gives you a whole different feel of the scale of what happened. From the ground you could only see a small portion of what was happening. That shows you everything.
It is truly awe inspiring, and not in a good way.
I wished we never stopped show pics of the fall. Some forget so easily. Glad to see this and we should never forget.

I still get mad every time I see the death and destruction that was inflicted upon our people that day. I all so get angry every time one of our soldiers does not make it home or come’s home suffering from the casualties of war. Thanks to all the men and women out there who are still fighting for our freedom and come home safe.
This is my last week at my civilian job before I take a few weeks off and ship to Ft Benning for Basic and OCS. Seeing these photos online earlier today served as a really strong reminder of one of the reasons I signed my contract a few months ago. Part of me wishes I had made that decision sooner, but I have gained a lot of experience in the past few years in the civilian world that I think will serve me well in my new job.
God bless America. Never forget.
Congrats on your decision. I just returned from Ft. Benning in October. Basic was definately an experience. One day in July we did an 8 mile ruck-march in full battle rattle. The temperature outside? 112 degrees… sucked…
I’m looking forward to that final OCS road march in August. . . ![]()
12 miles?
That’s my understanding. I’ve made more miles in a day, but not with the same load. I think it’s time for this to stop being the “talk about OCS thread” and get back to being the “let’s remember 9/11” thread. Sorry for contributing to the thread jack.
Yeah my bad. That wasn’t my intention, I just got distracted.
I know this sounds weird, but I was OCONUS and never saw the 911 videos because the media had decided it was too inflammatory by the time I was back in US. Is there a site to see what really happened?
