Has anyone personally done machine work on a glock slide. Is it extraordinarily hard, or difficult to machine? Any recommendations on bit selection?
thanks,
Kent

What do you want to do to it?? That would prob make question alot easier to answer
relatively simple stuff, slide serrations, and such.
The glock slides are very hard and they change gun to gun and area to area. Caution must be taken to further work harden the slide by not milling at a proper feed speed and rotation speed.

Yes.
What are you trying to do?
The Tennifer (nitride) coating is very hard and requires carbide tooling to cut through.
Under that coating is typical slide steel. Hard but not like the Tennifer.
The interior can be cut/drilled with HSS but is still hard on the tool.
