Mace's Colts

Well Gents,

I am a 1911 lover (Colt's and Les Baers are the preference). These are a pair of my custom Pony's and they have had some work done on them by the best in the business with an emphasis on a fighting/working gun...

Dave Erickson of Condition One Pistol Smithing is now my preferred smith. A magician and a gentleman.

First the Duo - Tone (top) and what he recently did:

*Barrel crown (hubba-bubba! Outstanding!)
*Yost Bonitz ignition system
*Yost rear sight with a single tritium dot
*Shaping/ fitting of the bushing
*Cerakote black the stainless barrel
*Trigger job! (Man, he put a sweet trigger on that thing!)
*Medium Greider trigger
*The slide was Cobra-coated and the frame was Cobra-chromed by Tripp research. (Oustanding work and customer service)
*Ed Brown beavertail safety

Bottom:

Yost-Bonitz 1* Enhanced package (with some special requests…):

*Best quality trigger job using Yost-Bonitz action components/ ignition system
*Fitted beavertail grip safety
*Lower & Flare ejection port
*Kart barrel
*Open rear sight notch to .140"
*Yost-Bonitz rear sight with a straight 8 night sight config.
*Tool steel slide stop
*Wilson Bulletproof extractor, tune ejector, polished feed ramp, throated barrel, polished breech face, polished cartridge pick-up
*Hand-filed beveled magazine well
*Match grade barrel bushing, re-crown barrel
*Wolff spring set
*Magazine catch assembly (extended Mag release button)
*Range test & zero w/ammunition

Mace

Oh, I thought I was going to see some cherry Police Postives, New Services, Official Polices, Troopers, Pythons, and Dick’s Specials.

Very, very nice looking.

And functional, too.

They look great, enjoy.

Very nice!

That’s a very impressive set of 1911’s.

Very nice, Mace.
