I’ve been vacillating between the M4s, the ML3 and the M3 for a few moths now. I decided to purchase a new M4s for $570 ,as compared the M3 with ADM mount $560 or the ML3 with ADM mount for $520. The M4s comes with the Aimpoint mount and a kill flash. I mounted the M4s on my carbine equipped with a DD fixed rear sight and a standard FSP. I thought the absolute co-witness would be cluttered, but I was wrong. When shooting I can have absolute witness, tilt my head and have the red dot appear over the front and rear sight. With my weak eye open I don’t even see the rear sight and my FOV is wide open. I really don’t see a reason for a return to zero and the Aimpoint mount is very quick to detach if needed. I’m very happy with my choice and I’d rather put that extra ten or fifty dollars into a state of the art optic instead of a mount.
What a great time for my first post. I am in the market and have been looking at the same sights. If you don’t mind, where can you find an M4 for that price?

I like mine. Its built like a tank and the mount is solid as it comes from Aimpoint. Mine was even a bit cheaper after promo codes from Botach Defense. I did have to wait a while (about 3 months) but the price was excellent and the sight is top notch.
Botach Defense
I personally favor the M3/ML3. Its lighter with mount than the M4S and is as rugged as anyone really needs. Besides as someone who has carried an M4 day in and day out for over a year I can tell you the extra weight matters, and that huge knob on the mount sucks it sticks out hangs on stuff and in general is a PITA. I have an ML3 at home with Bobro, ADM, and Larue mounts. To me the only real advantage the M4 series has over the M3 is use of AA batteries, thats it.
I just ordered one from Botach over the weekend and its shipped already and much cheaper than anywhere else. I love the M4s model. The other upside compared to the M3 is the batteries last 80,000 hrs and are everywhere. With Botach’s price its maybe $40-50 more than an Eotech or an Aimpoint micro dot. I think he has discounts on all the models though.

Yes, Botach defense is the way to go. I purchased mine last month and it shipped that day and I received it in a few days. I think Dan at Botach is doing a wonderful job turning things around n the customer service dept. Especially with information on stocked items and shipping. I always send him an email with items I need and he tells me if they are GTG and ready to be shipped. Even if you aren’t Mil/Leo the Botach tactical side still has decent prices. But the defense side is the way to go if you are able.

I like mine for the same 2 reasons; it is built like a tank and the factory mount is solid as well. The Larue QD I had it on put it too high for my poboy so I put the factory mount back on it. And the battery life is amazing!
Love mine. Buy form Grant or Larue
