M4C Temporarily Down

Dealers/ Manufacturers/ Regional/ Info Site Questions & Comments
1

Life has temporarily no meaning.

(bonus points if you get the joke)

2

Thank goodness!!

There is going to be a whole lot of catching up getting done tonight.

3

what happened?

I mean, I noticed that the site was down, wasn’t even getting responses from the nameservers…

4

Glad to have you back - what did you do, piss off the geek squad?

5

There was that one reddit internet tough guy. Is he still all butthurt at us?

6

Right after the site went down I started receiving mass junk mail so I was wondering if the site was hacked were members e-mails were exposed to those who hacked the site?

I never had this issue before or have I given my e-mail out in the past four months so is this just a coincidence or a shit head attack?

7

I saw a message from STAFF that it was a DDoS attack. I, too, have been getting quite a few spam emails the past couple days.

8

Glad it’s back up, I was beginning to think my wife sabotaged my computer so I couldn’t get on the site.

9

Thank goodness M4C is back up. I hadn’t been tempted to purchase a BCM Midlength upper in days!

10

Talk about withdrawls! Please give us a heads-up next time. I almost wento to TOS! J/K!

O

11

Is there a way to get on that list or can we get one going to tell us when the site is down and back up? This is happening fairly frequently.

12

Any idea who keeps DDoSing you guys?

13

I’m so glad that M4C is back up, especially now that i’m a fobbit! this site has helped keep me even keeled this deployment. Where have members gone to get there gun fix? i spent a lot of time on the AAC website doing homework and checked out WEVO which wasn’t bad but was kinda like getting a dude waiter at Texas Roadhouse.

14

Welcome back M4C

15

You would think something would be done to stop this from happening. It is possible, with a little effort.

16

Glad your back up; thought I had been banned:fie:

17

And how do I help stop it?

18

Did it happen again this morning? I got a ‘504’ error?

19

It is back

If I could make a small suggestion to the staff…

Since this seems to be happening more frequently instead of less, perhaps a site-related Twitter or Blogspot for updates (ie, “We’re down, stand by”) might be something to check out.
