An M4 and an A1 were fired continuously until they failed.
M4 = barrel structural failure at 535 rnds and A1 suffered a gas tube failure at 911, continued in single shot mode to finish the mag at 930 rnds.
*IIRC; rnds may be off by a bit plus there are 2 different sets of #s sited depending on the source.
