Let me know how the transaction goes, and the quality of the item.
There was a member from TOS who made his own dummy ammo using his loading equipment.
The only suggestion I offered was to do something to distinguish his “dummies” from live ammo. He ended up placing each round rim down, in a shallow container filled with cold bluing solution. The solution reacted with the brass case and turned them black. I must say, they turned out very nice.
hey that is a thought,aswell
I made this 8mm dummy a few years ago for my 98k Mauser. Three equally spaced holes drilled through the case for ID purposes, primer removed and replaced with a rubber insert to protect the FP.

what’s that you’ve got in place of primer?
Well, being curious myself for the longest time, I decided to try the Cold Blue on my 98k 8mm dummy round. The Cold Blue had no affect. But, Aluminum Black did. I did a quick degrease and did a couple applications. Not too bad. I may just have to do up some dummy 5.56mm rounds as well.

oh, wow… SASA fail. my bad.
I’ve got some homebrew training rounds as well. I have maybe $40 into the whole lot of em.
30 - .556
10 - 7.62x39
20 - 9mm
10 - .45
Had a buddy in Ca make em up for me (so shipping costs are included in the total), FMJ bullets in brass with no powder or primers. Once I got them in my possession, I drilled holes through the casings, and filled both the casings and primer pockets with hotglue. Easy to tell apart from live rounds, cushions the firing pins, and overall work very well. Filling them with hot glue prevents bullet setback if they hit the ground point first, and generally get abused.

Pic is before I filled them, but after I set back one of the .45 rounds using a known crappy old mag that jammed it into the top of the chamber.
Damn good training tools, not only for throwing in a mag full of real ammo for malfunction drills, but also so that mags have some weight to em for reloading drills during dryfire.
