I’m looking for a pouch, panel, or rig that can carry Garand ammo loaded in 8 rd enbloc clips. right now I’m making do with bandoleers and not a good solution.
somebody makes a chest rig but it’s hella expensive. I’m sure there’s some old surplus stuff but looking for something a little more current with maybe molle capability…

The answer to your question about the 40mm pouches is “yes, but”. I tested an en bloc clip in a single USGI 40mm HEDP pouch and the clipped rounds will fit but the flap is very loose. I think you could get away with it but it wouldn’t be ideal.
I use a surplus Indian Enfield cartridge belt. Simple, rugged, and cheap.

Not as standard, no, but it could be added. The way the pouch mounts and the individual divider that each en bloc clip sits in tends to retain them fairly well even when the flap is opened due to the stiffened front of the pouch.
To answer your question about the GI MOLLE 40mm pouch, no, I don’t think you could get more than one en bloc clip into each pouch.
These actually work well(WWI grenade pouch/vest).Each pouch can hold two enblock clips but with that much ammo its really too heavy,one clip per pouch is better.
