I was wondering about what kind of books I should read about the Garand. Your video is making me want to spend quite a bit of money.
About 20 years ago the local Isaac Walton League held a class on the M1 Garand. It was one of those classes that you went to and at the end could buy a rifle from the CMP. My dad and I both went and we both bought one.
Just the other day my dad remarked that he would like to take the rifles out and shoot them. He also mentioned that he forgot how to completely disassemble them. I’ll have to show him this video.
The CMP’s web site has a series of instructions on field stripping and detail stripping the M1. Very helpful.
I get more people coming up to me when I bring a Garand out. When I bring a -D out, forget it i can’t even shoot it.
