Yes and no.
At the last class i went to i gave a buddy of mine a set of magpul XTM panels and they were a REALLY and i mean REALLY tight fit.
A few of them fell off certain sections of the rail during a course of fire.
This is definitely not the panels fault as the XTM panels fit marvelously on Larue and DD rails. I cant comment on other manufacturers however.
I am having a problem with mine. The Panels fit on the sides and even the top but they won’t quite snap on to the bottom rail. I am shipping mine back to Troy tomorrow to have them look at it.
That’s about what I’ve gathered here and there. Seems the great Troy rail is out of spec. That’s pretty lame. Maybe its why my vfg gets stuck.
Probably, but from what I have heard they are very good on fixing it.
I had the same problem with my MRF-DI 9" - the XTM panels would not work on the bottom rail. After receiving a replacement from Troy, the panels work fine. In addition, they added a limiter to the quick detach sling mounts ala DD. Now, the rail actually seems on the smaller side, and KAC panels have difficult time staying put and locking.
FWIW, I have 6 AR’s. Each AR has a Troy rail. Each rail has XTM panels. I have not experienced any issues. YMMV.
Man you are killin me! Haha thanks for the reply. My ulterior motive is I want that Larue Magpul UDE furniture. Maybe I will go for it and if it doesn’t fit just call Troy.
